Shear Lug Design Example Using ASDIP STEEL

Dear ASDIP Customer:

Shear lugs are steel elements welded to the underside of base plates to resist shear loads. The design of shear lugs may be cumbersome and time-consuming. Multiple checks need to be done for several failure modes, which in turn depend on the geometry of the concrete support.

I have prepared a new blog post and a short video with a step-by-step design example of a shear lug. You are invited to read this blog post and watch the video. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome.
