Dear ASDIP Customer: The applied loads in a structure are usually specified as load cases, such as dead, live, wind, etc. These load cases are then affected by some load factors in order to be combined. Usually the load combinations are defined by the design standards, such as the ASCE 7. But what about when you need to modify a load factor for a special case, or when you need to comply with another code that contains a different set of load combinations? ASDIP CONCRETE includes a feature that lets you define custom load combinations, and then save them in a separate file, and use them in future projects . I have prepared a blog post with screen shots and a short video, where I show how to specify the load combinations, particularly the user-defined, in ASDIP CONCRETE.  Y ou are invited to read this blog post and watch the video. Dear ASDIP Customer: Every country in the world has adopted a system of units for all the mathematical and scientific calculations. In addition, it's not uncommon to see engineering projects being developed in several countries simultaneously nowadays. Therefore, in this globalized world, it's important to consider the capabilities of your software to perform calculations in different systems of units. I have prepared a blog post with screenshots and a short video, where I show how to specify the system of units for your calculations in ASDIP, and how to switch to another system of units seamlessly.  Y ou are invited to read this blog post and watch the video. What Systems of Units Are Available in ASDIP Software? Your comments and suggestions are welcome. Best regards, Javier Encinas, PE ASDIP Structural Software www.asdipsoft.com
