A Basic Overview of Foundation Anchor Bolts Design

An anchor bolt is basically used as a fastener, which is precisely designed to connect one or more than one objects to a concrete surface. Since concrete is brittle, you may use traditional bolt designs for applications similar to this. To make sure that the connected object(s) stay in position, a standard anchor bolt design must be used.

Base Plate and Anchor Rod Design Overview

  Dear ASDIP Customer: Base plates are steel elements at the bottom of columns to transfer the loads to the foundation. But how do you design a base plate? And how do you anchor the base plate to the concrete support? The design of anchor rods includes multiple checks for different limit states, which in turn depend on the geometry of the concrete support.
