Dear ASDIP Customer: The design of masonry walls involves the calculation of the shear and moment diagrams, and then the consideration of the slenderness effects, in order to design the reinforcement. But what happens when the wall has openings, such as doors or windows? How do you reinforce these areas, particularly if they are large? ASDIP CONCRETE includes a new feature for the design of lintels and jambs in wall openings. I have prepared a blog post with screenshots and a short video, where I show how to model a wall opening graphically on canvas in ASDIP CONCRETE, and how to design the reinforcing members easily.  Y ou are invited to read this blog post and watch the video.
