How to calculate the PASSIVE PRESSURE?

Image
Dear ASDIP Customer: The calculation of the passive pressure is very important in the design of retaining walls to prevent sliding problems. However, this calculation may be affected by some external factors that can be overlooked easily. Are you calculating the passive pressure correctly? I have prepared a new blog post with a short video, where I discuss the calculation of the passive pressure and the factors that may affect the end result.  Y ou are invited to read this blog post and watch the video. 3 Advantages Of Using Structural Design Software For Your Projects

Building construction includes many complex steps requiring a different set of skills to come up with the solutions. Civil engineers are responsible for providing a reliable and well-designed structure of a building after considering all the requirements and factors. These designs then used to form a physical structure with the construction process. For the construction to be perfect and done without any issue, it is necessary that you have a flawless designed ready for each and every part of the building. The structures are consists of many components, including beams, columns, and others — the composite beam design software help in designing a perfect and reliable plan for the building. Accurate results With the software, you get various internal tools and options that make it easier to get precise results. While using the software you don’t have to make the calculations on your you can leave that to the software, and it will give you the accurate values without making any

Cantilever retaining walls

Dear ASDIP Customer: Cantilever retaining walls may be sensitive to sliding problems, and for poor soils, this failure mode can actually control the design. The calculation of the sliding safety factor may be incorrect if the designer is not familiar with the code provisions. I have prepared a new blog post with screenshots and a short video, where I discuss how to calculate the sliding safety factor using ASDIP RETAIN.  Y ou are invited to read this blog post and watch the video.
